Product Share 2017

While I was preparing for the Open House event last Friday, I decided that I would put together some ribbon shares this year. I haven't offered them for a couple of years, but I decided to get off my duff and offer them again this year. "What is a ribbon share?" you may be wondering… This is an opportunity for you to get some of the gorgeous ribbons in colors that coordinate beautifully with Stampin' Up!'s products. The spools of ribbons in the catalog are quite large, so if you're a "casual" user, you probably don't need 10 yards (!) of a single ribbon. With a ribbon share you will receive several ribbons in shorter, more manageable lengths. If you don't live local to me, I will ship your ribbon shares to you for a cost of $3 (I will combine shares into a single mailer if you purchase multiple). Unfortunately, I am not able to accept credit or debit cards for the shares, so you will need to pay with cash or a check. Here are the details of the shares from the main catalog that I'm offering:

Mini Chevron Ribbon ShareMini Chevron Ribbon

You will receive 2 yards of each color; the colors are Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, and Old Olive. The price of a share is $4.99. These colors coordinate with the Color Theory product suite. These versatile colors will work well with lots of other product suites as well. For instance, Crushed Curry is in the Pick a Pattern suite; Old Olive is in the Birthday Memories suite; and Bermuda Bay is in the Just Add Color suite.

Sheer Ribbon Share1/8" Sheer Ribbon

You will receive 2 yards of each color; Calypso Coral, Fresh Fig, Old Olive, and Whisper White. The price of a share is $5.60. All of these ribbons coordinate with the Petal Garden product suite. These versatile colors will work with lots of other suites, too. For instance, Fresh Fig is one of the colors in the Eastern Palace suite, so you can use that color ribbon from this share with that DSP with confidence.

Sheer Ribbon ShareShimmer Ribbon

You will receive 2 yards of each color; Basic Black, Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party, and Powder Pink. The share price is $6.59. All of these ribbons coordinate with the Whole Lot of Lovely product suite, and you can combine the individual colors with other product suites. For instance, the Pool Party ribbon coordinates with the Delightful Daisy suite. The shimmer on these ribbons is subtle, and they really are beautiful IRL.

Contact me today to purchase some of these gorgeous ribbon shares!

In Color Club 2017

I am very happy to share with you that I'm offering an In Color Club again this year. This time around will feature the go-juss new colors that came available at the beginning of this month (you can see them pictured above). A friend of mine swooned when she saw Powder Pink at the big reveal I attended in Savannah, and I know many demonstrators are having a blast with Lemon Lime Twist. I think that Tranquil Tide may be my personal favorite, but check with me in a few months because this always shifts over time for me. laugh

What is the In Color Club you may be asking… let me try to describe it, but the high-level gist is that it is a great way for you to make sure that you have all of the products for these gorgeous colors. For five months you will receive an ink pad, pack of cardstock, ink refill, marker, and 1/2" Finely Woven ribbon; each month you will receive a different color and a card made by me featuring the color. One month you will be the "host" and you will also receive the 12" x 12" Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper stack and In Color Bitty Bows PLUS host benefits that allow you to select $17.18 in free Stampin' Up! merchandise of your choice. The membership cost for the club is $40.05 per month for 5 months. As of today, I have two spots left in the first club group. Please contact me to sign up ASAP. Once the group is filled, I will kick off the first month. If there are enough people interested, I'm happy to offer a second group of the club.

2017 Open House

I'm getting really excited for my Open House event that is happening on Friday June 16th! I will have several samples featuring new products from the 2017-18 catalog, some of the new accessories, the gorgeous new In Colors, a couple of make-n-take projects, and drawings for the fun door prizes that you see here. Just this morning I finished the last sample for one of the classes that I'll have available for sign-up at the event. And, to keep with the tradition, I will have ice cream sundaes for everyone that comes that evening. And the best part… this event is FREE!

This event will be happening in the Fellowship Hall of the First Congregational Church in Essex Junction (39 Main Street) – the entrance is right off the parking lot. We will be starting at 6:30 pm, but you can come at any time. I have to be out by 9:00, but could wrap up early if attendees have finished their projects and ice cream (so don't come too late).

The door prizes will be "raffled off" at the event with several ways to earn tickets for the drawings. In fact, you can earn your first ticket right away – here are the ways that you can earn tickets for the drawings:

  • RSVP by June 13th – 1 ticket
  • Show up at the event – 1 ticket
  • Place an order that evening – 1 ticket
  • Food Pantry donation – 1 ticket
  • Sign up for a class – 2 tickets
  • Bring a new-to-me customer – 3 tickets
  • Sign up to host a party – 5 tickets

I really hope that I'll see you on Friday at this fun event! It is a great break from a hectic schedule, and hopefully a June date means that it won't conflict with summer vacation plans.

Celebrating Dad

This is the second card that we created at the Essex stamp club gathering last week. I had this Paper Pumpkin kit from last year in my stash, and I thought it would be a perfect easier project for these ladies. Actually, I thought of showing them this kit a few months ago, but I wanted to save it for when we're closer to Father's Day. The stamps in this kit are so versatile, and they allow you to customize the greeting to "Dad", "Uncle", "Grandpa", "Friend", and "My Love". Also, there is a Birthday greeting so you can go in a totally different direction when you make up these cards.

I also wanted to highlight a Paper Pumpkin kit because there is a special deal on them right now. If you sign up before June 10th for a monthly subscription, you will receive 25% off your June, July and August kits. You can use this link here to subscribe, and make sure to enter the promo code "STARTHERE". There are a couple of restrictions on this promotion tho – it is only available to new subscribers, and it is not available for pre-paid subscriptions. I encourage you to check it out and sign up during this special promotion – these kits are a lot of fun!

And, on a slightly different topic… today is the very last day to purchase products that are retiring from the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog. If you've been planning on buying something that is retiring and you've been procrastinating, your time is up – you have to order your retiring products now! Click on the OnLine store link so you can get shopping.

Eastern Palace Deal

Stampin' Up! is offering two very special bundles of new products from the new catalog. These bundles include products from the gorgeous Eastern Palace Suite and 3 of the new In Colors. These colors will knock your socks off! Each of the bundles include a free bonus gift of a product that is also new to the next catalog. You can click on the image above to view the different bundles, and purchase them at my on-line store. And while you're there, you can add retiring and clearance products to your cart. Gotta love getting a deal!

Stampin' Up! has put together an advertisement video that highlights some of the products in the Eastern Palace Suite that are included in the bundles. The beginning doesn't show stamping products, but please keep watching. Check it out by clicking this link.

Retirement 2017

It's that time of year again – the retirement list has come out and the purchasing frenzy is on! Stampin' Up! actually released the retirement list on Monday, but I was vacationing in beautiful Savannah Georgia so I'm a bit delayed in getting the word out to you. I have to admit that there are a few items on the list that caught me by surprise; *cough* Gorgeous Grunge *cough*, but this is a way to clear out space to allow for some beautiful new stuff. We all LOVE new stuff! In fact, I have already seen the new catalog becuase I was in Savannah attending a Stampin' Up! event that featured the new catalog and some of the new products. Trust me, there are some gorgeous things coming your way! But, for now, this is your opportunity to get items that you've had on your list to purchase "some day".

Non-stamp items that are on the list are available "while supplies last". Stamps that are on the list have guaranteed availability until May 22nd since Stampin' Up! produces them and they can fulfill orders that exceed their inventory. Once we reach that date, stamps will also be available "while supplies last" up until May 31st. And, as is always the case, some of the items on the list have already been depleted. For instance, the Brights and Subtles 12 x 12" cardstock assortments are all gone. There are several other additional items that are gone, including some from the Occasions catalog. The best bet to make sure that you receive the products that you want is to place an on-line order – this will reduce the risk that any delay on my part will mean that you miss out on an item (or items) that you want.

You can click on this link to download the retirement list. Happy shopping!

Sale-A-Bration Final Days

Here we are, closing in on the end of Sale-A-Bration for 2017. I really can't believe that we are going to be saying goodbye to all of our special Sale-A-Bration products and this fantastic promotion so soon. Last week Stampin' Up! announced that we are entering the stage where items are available while they last, and unfortunately there are two items that are already gone – the super-cute, gold card tin and the gorgeous glimmer paper pack. I just did a workshop for a friend over the weekend and we used some of the Mint Macaron glimmer paper from this great pack. I'm sad that it's gone because I would have loved to stock up on some more for my personal crafting use.

But… because Stampin' Up! is so awesome, they have added some Occasions catalog and regular catalog merchandise as Sale-A-Bration offerings to get us through the last 11 days that remain in this deal. I had no idea that they were going to do this, and I am thrilled! Last year they added a second set of products, just like this year, so I figured we had all of the potential freebies that we were going to get. I was very pleased to receive an e-mail update from Stampin' Up! this morning unveiling this new set of products that they've added. They are absolutely wrapping up this promotion on a high note!

Without further ado, below is a graphic with the list of products that they have added to the promotion. Please note – these have different item numbers than the regular catalog items. So, be very careful when placing your order so you get the free item – if that's what you're trying to select.

You can place an order on-line – just click on the OnLine ordering button from my blog, or, if you prefer to contact me to place an order I am very happy to help you out.

April 2017 Classes

I have two classes scheduled for April, and I wanted to make sure that you know about them. To get all of the details, please check out the information on my blog on this page. This time around I'm offering a kit class and a card making class that features the "grunge" look. The projects are quite lovely, but definitely different from each other; hopefully one or both of them will interest you. As a head's up, I anticipate two events in May – the first being a multi-demonstrator Stamp-A-Stack that I'm doing up in St. Albans. I'm still working out what the second class will be in May, so stay tuned to find out. If you want to take either or both of the April classes, or the Stamp-A-Stack, please let me know so I can guarantee your spot.

oh happy day

This class features the Oh Happy Day all-inclusive kit from the main catalog. You will create these bright and cheery cards, and since the kit includes the stamp set you will be able to use the sentimants to create a bunch more. I have scheduled 2 hours for this class, but if you don't complete them you will leave with everything that you need to finish them up.

  • Date: April 15th, 2017, 1:30 – 3:30 pm
  • RSVP: April 4th (pre-payment required)

timeless grunge

This class features the Gorgeous Grunge and Timeless Textures stamp sets along with copper embossing powder to create this set of 5 cards that has a "distressed" look. You'll also create a box to hold the cards along with envelopes. This class is scheduled for three hours because I anticipate that it will take a bit longer to finish up the projects along with the box. Please bring a lunch for this class since we are working through the noon time.

  • Date: April 29th, 2017, 10:30 am – 1:30 pm
  • RSVP: April 20th (pre-payment required)

March 2017 Classes

I have two classes scheduled for March, and I wanted to post a reminder because today is the last day to RSVP for the first one. To get all of the details, please check out the information on my blog on this page. I've been trying to be more consistent in offering classes, as well as offering different types to hopefully appeal to different interests. Here's what I have planned for March, and stay tuned because I have a couple of classes in the works for April.

This class features the All Year Long Project Life card set and accessory pack. You will create these super-easy 6 cards in the class, and leave with plenty of materials to create loads more on your own. Project Life cards are a really great way to get patterns and layers for your cards, in addition to being a really fantastic way of easily capturing your busy life in pocket page scrapbooks.

  • Date: March 11, 2017, 1:00 – 3:00 pm
  • RSVP: TODAY – I will work with you to arrange payment.
  • Class-to-go option is also available

This class is focused on using the new (and fantastic) watercolor pencils to create some absolutely gorgeous cards. The class fee includes a set of the pencils, a pack of watercolor paper, and a pair of Aqua Painters. Watercoloring is VERY popular right now, and you can learn some basics to get you started exploring what you can do with stamps and these pencils. You will be able to use your supplies from the class to continue to create your own watercolor pieces of art.

  • Date: March 25th, 1:00 – 4:00 pm
  • RSVP: March 15th (pre-payment required).

New Sale-A-Bration items

Again this year Stampin' Up! is adding some products to the Sale-A-Bration offering to keep us all excited. Starting tomorrow (2/21) you can pick from these three new products when you place an order that qualifies for SAB goodies. Of course, all of the products in the original SAB flyer are still available, so this is all up-side!

The first product is this gorgeous pack of glimmer paper. Two of the colors are from the In Color collection and the third is from the Brights collection. The colors coordinate with different patterned papers that you can find in the Occasions catalog as well as some of the papers in the "big" catalog.

The second product is this pretty medallion stamp set. Because these are photopolymer stamps you can easily create some beautiful layered images. They also coordinate with the Layering Circles framelits. I don't have them (yet), but I suspect that they may also work with the Stitched framelits that came out in November.

The third option is this watercolor effect greeting duo in good old rubber. Watercoloring is all the rage right now, and these stamps allow you create a beautiful watercolor look with the ease of rubber stamps.

If you want to place an order to get any or all of these fun new products remember that they aren't available until February 21st. When placing an on-line order, please consider applying host code Q9FK2PXW when checking out. However, if your order exceeds $150 (thus earning you at least 3 SAB products), please don't use the code – this will ensure that you can also select the free Host benefits that you qualify for with your order.
