It's that time of year again – the retirement list has come out and the purchasing frenzy is on! Stampin' Up! actually released the retirement list on Monday, but I was vacationing in beautiful Savannah Georgia so I'm a bit delayed in getting the word out to you. I have to admit that there are a few items on the list that caught me by surprise; *cough* Gorgeous Grunge *cough*, but this is a way to clear out space to allow for some beautiful new stuff. We all LOVE new stuff! In fact, I have already seen the new catalog becuase I was in Savannah attending a Stampin' Up! event that featured the new catalog and some of the new products. Trust me, there are some gorgeous things coming your way! But, for now, this is your opportunity to get items that you've had on your list to purchase "some day".
Non-stamp items that are on the list are available "while supplies last". Stamps that are on the list have guaranteed availability until May 22nd since Stampin' Up! produces them and they can fulfill orders that exceed their inventory. Once we reach that date, stamps will also be available "while supplies last" up until May 31st. And, as is always the case, some of the items on the list have already been depleted. For instance, the Brights and Subtles 12 x 12" cardstock assortments are all gone. There are several other additional items that are gone, including some from the Occasions catalog. The best bet to make sure that you receive the products that you want is to place an on-line order – this will reduce the risk that any delay on my part will mean that you miss out on an item (or items) that you want.
You can click on this link to download the retirement list. Happy shopping!
Here we are, closing in on the end of Sale-A-Bration for 2017. I really can't believe that we are going to be saying goodbye to all of our special Sale-A-Bration products and this fantastic promotion so soon. Last week Stampin' Up! announced that we are entering the stage where items are available while they last, and unfortunately there are two items that are already gone – the super-cute, gold card tin and the gorgeous glimmer paper pack. I just did a workshop for a friend over the weekend and we used some of the Mint Macaron glimmer paper from this great pack. I'm sad that it's gone because I would have loved to stock up on some more for my personal crafting use.
But… because Stampin' Up! is so awesome, they have added some Occasions catalog and regular catalog merchandise as Sale-A-Bration offerings to get us through the last 11 days that remain in this deal. I had no idea that they were going to do this, and I am thrilled! Last year they added a second set of products, just like this year, so I figured we had all of the potential freebies that we were going to get. I was very pleased to receive an e-mail update from Stampin' Up! this morning unveiling this new set of products that they've added. They are absolutely wrapping up this promotion on a high note!
Without further ado, below is a graphic with the list of products that they have added to the promotion. Please note – these have different item numbers than the regular catalog items. So, be very careful when placing your order so you get the free item – if that's what you're trying to select.
You can place an order on-line – just click on the OnLine ordering button from my blog, or, if you prefer to contact me to place an order I am very happy to help you out.
I have two classes scheduled for April, and I wanted to make sure that you know about them. To get all of the details, please check out the information on my blog on this page. This time around I'm offering a kit class and a card making class that features the "grunge" look. The projects are quite lovely, but definitely different from each other; hopefully one or both of them will interest you. As a head's up, I anticipate two events in May – the first being a multi-demonstrator Stamp-A-Stack that I'm doing up in St. Albans. I'm still working out what the second class will be in May, so stay tuned to find out. If you want to take either or both of the April classes, or the Stamp-A-Stack, please let me know so I can guarantee your spot.
This class features the Oh Happy Day all-inclusive kit from the main catalog. You will create these bright and cheery cards, and since the kit includes the stamp set you will be able to use the sentimants to create a bunch more. I have scheduled 2 hours for this class, but if you don't complete them you will leave with everything that you need to finish them up.
- Date: April 15th, 2017, 1:30 – 3:30 pm
- RSVP: April 4th (pre-payment required)
This class features the Gorgeous Grunge and Timeless Textures stamp sets along with copper embossing powder to create this set of 5 cards that has a "distressed" look. You'll also create a box to hold the cards along with envelopes. This class is scheduled for three hours because I anticipate that it will take a bit longer to finish up the projects along with the box. Please bring a lunch for this class since we are working through the noon time.
- Date: April 29th, 2017, 10:30 am – 1:30 pm
- RSVP: April 20th (pre-payment required)
I have two classes scheduled for March, and I wanted to post a reminder because today is the last day to RSVP for the first one. To get all of the details, please check out the information on my blog on this page. I've been trying to be more consistent in offering classes, as well as offering different types to hopefully appeal to different interests. Here's what I have planned for March, and stay tuned because I have a couple of classes in the works for April.
This class features the All Year Long Project Life card set and accessory pack. You will create these super-easy 6 cards in the class, and leave with plenty of materials to create loads more on your own. Project Life cards are a really great way to get patterns and layers for your cards, in addition to being a really fantastic way of easily capturing your busy life in pocket page scrapbooks.
- Date: March 11, 2017, 1:00 – 3:00 pm
- RSVP: TODAY – I will work with you to arrange payment.
- Class-to-go option is also available
This class is focused on using the new (and fantastic) watercolor pencils to create some absolutely gorgeous cards. The class fee includes a set of the pencils, a pack of watercolor paper, and a pair of Aqua Painters. Watercoloring is VERY popular right now, and you can learn some basics to get you started exploring what you can do with stamps and these pencils. You will be able to use your supplies from the class to continue to create your own watercolor pieces of art.
- Date: March 25th, 1:00 – 4:00 pm
- RSVP: March 15th (pre-payment required).
Again this year Stampin' Up! is adding some products to the Sale-A-Bration offering to keep us all excited. Starting tomorrow (2/21) you can pick from these three new products when you place an order that qualifies for SAB goodies. Of course, all of the products in the original SAB flyer are still available, so this is all up-side!
The first product is this gorgeous pack of glimmer paper. Two of the colors are from the In Color collection and the third is from the Brights collection. The colors coordinate with different patterned papers that you can find in the Occasions catalog as well as some of the papers in the "big" catalog.
The second product is this pretty medallion stamp set. Because these are photopolymer stamps you can easily create some beautiful layered images. They also coordinate with the Layering Circles framelits. I don't have them (yet), but I suspect that they may also work with the Stitched framelits that came out in November.
The third option is this watercolor effect greeting duo in good old rubber. Watercoloring is all the rage right now, and these stamps allow you create a beautiful watercolor look with the ease of rubber stamps.
If you want to place an order to get any or all of these fun new products remember that they aren't available until February 21st. When placing an on-line order, please consider applying host code Q9FK2PXW when checking out. However, if your order exceeds $150 (thus earning you at least 3 SAB products), please don't use the code – this will ensure that you can also select the free Host benefits that you qualify for with your order.
I am so happy to announce that I have two stamping classes scheduled for February. Please contact me to sign up, or if you have any questions. Without further ado, here are the details:
This is a quick and easy class where you will build a stash of 16 cards (4 each of 4 designs) from the Designer Tin of Cards kit. These cards really are gorgeous and they go together so quickly that you'll be amazed. The kit also includes a really cute tin with dividers to hold your class creations and some more.
- Date: Saturday, Feb. 11
- Time: 10 am – noon
- Location: First Congregational Church of Essex
- Fee: $35
- RSVP: February 1st
- Class includes the Designer Tin of Cards kit
- Please bring your own adhesive
This class is a bit more involved, and I will teach you a technique (called One Sheet Wonder) that you can use over and over to create a batch of cards. You will stamp a sheet of Whisper White cardstock with the stamps and inks that are included in the class. I will provide a template and instructions that show you how to cut up your stamped paper to incorporate into 7 gorgeous cards. I offered this class a few years ago, and I just had to bring it back. I love this technique, and I'm sure that you will too!
- Date: February 26th
- Time: 2 pm – 5 pm
- Location: First Congregational Church of Essex
- Fee: $65
- RSVP: February 15th
- Class fee includes: Blooms & Wishes stamp set, Affectionately Yours washi tape, 3 ink pads (we'll coordinate on colors), and white envelopes, other materials are prepared for you.
- Bring your own adhesive, paper cutter and clear blocks.
It's that time of year again – the biggest sale that Stampin' Up! offers, and it's really fantastic! This is your opportunity to get some great Sale-A-Bration (SAB) exclusive products for free with a qualifying purchase. There are stamp sets (of course) along with a cute kit, some accessories and some fantastic Designer Series Papers. This annual promotion is running until March 31st this year, so there is time to collect several of these exclusive goodies.
The Sale-A-Bration promotion seems a little complicated, but it is actually pretty straightforward. The interesting part is that there are additional perks available while the promotion is going – I'll attempt to describe them all here:
- For every increment of $50 in merchandise that you purchase, you can pick a SAB exclusive item for free. For example: purchase $102 in products (before shipping and tax) and you can select two free SAB products. Purchase $156 in merchandise and you can pick three free SAB items.
- When you host a party during the Sale-A-Bration promotion, if the total amount of merchandise ordered for the party is > $250 then you will receive an additional $25 in host rewards. That is even more free goodies for you on top of the normal host benefits that you can earn. Because of this Sale-A-Bration is a fantastic time to host a party – contact me to schedule one today!
- If you have been considering joining Stampin' Up! as a demonstrator, Sale-A-Bration is a great time to do it. You can join for the regular price of $99 and get the usual set of products to get your business off the ground. Additionally during Sale-A-Bration you get TWO additional stamp sets of your choosing for FREE!
There are so many great SAB products this year – I thought I would highlight some that I think are going to be super popular.
Since Stampin' Up! has added some amazing watercolor pencils to our crafting arsenal with the Occasions catalog, I just had to point out some SAB products that coordinate wonderfully with them:
There are also some SAB products that coordinate with suites of products from the Occasions catalog. I'll list them here so you can check them out.
Lift Me Up bundle:
Falling in Love Suite:
Custom Tee bundle:
There are several other products that I haven't listed – click on the Sale-A-Bration link on the right to check out the catalog on your computer so you can see all of the great stuff. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding SAB, and I look forward to talking with you about holding your own party.
Stampin' Up! has announced a fabulous new product that is available starting today – they are a new set of Stitched Framelits. I'm so incredibly excited about this because I have been wanting to incorporate this look into my projects for ages, but Stampin' Up! didn't offer dies to do it. And being a true-blue Stampin' Up! gal, I didn't want to purchase dies from another company because it wouldn't help me in my business. As of today, my wishes have been granted! Check out this video below to learn more about these great dies:
To help celebrate these lovely dies, Stampin' Up! has discounted several stamp sets 25% for the month of November. Below are links to my store for the discounted stamps (the prices listed here do not reflect the discount, but when you click on the link, you will see the discount there). Also, I don't have a link available yet for the dies, but once you've started a cart you can easily add them, or use this link to start shopping with these new dies.
Stampin' Up! is offering a great deal on their Designer Series Paper for the month of October. They have offered this special before and I always use it as an opportunity to stock up on their gorgeous papers. The special does not include all of the patterned papers; the DSP stacks and the Specialty papers are not part of the sale. However, the sale does include two of the paper packs from the Holiday catalog. The papers pictured in the graphic here are in the "Moroccan" DSP pack, and they feature colors that are perfect for your fall card making. Of course there are other great patterns, and I love them all! The Festive Birthday pack is perfect for cheerful birthday cards at any time of year, the Blooms and Bliss pack is great for some soft floral images, and the Candy Cane Lane pack is just the ticket for some cute Holiday cards. The By the Shore pack is all you need for scrapbooking your summer memories, or bringing back the feel of summer with some other projects (even if the air is starting to get a little crisp). I could go on and on – you get it, I love the papers. I think that you'll love them too!
You can really leverage your craft $$ if you combine this deal with the World Card Making Day special that runs from October 1st – 5th. If you don't need those products, this DSP sale is running for the whole month of October. When you place your on-line order, you need to enter the 4 packs of paper that you want. When you add the 4th pack, it will show as a price of $0 (or at least, that is the way that it has worked in the past). Also, I should point out that you can order multiples of the same papers – you don't have to pick different paper packs to get the special. Happy shopping and crafting!
Stampin' Up! is offering a few products for a great deal starting this Saturday to celebrate World Card Making Day. This promotion is a fantastic way to replenish your supply of card making essentials. The image links below do not include information regarding the discount because I'm posting this before the sale has started. The cardstock packs are discounted 15%, the Fast Fuse Adhesive Refill is free when you purchase a Fast Fuse Adhesive, and all other products are discounted 25%. If you want the Fast Fuse deal, I'm guessing that you will need to add both items to your shopping cart. I expect that when you add both items, the refill will appear with a cost of $0. There is the possibility that the refill will be added auto-magically when you add the Fast Fuse Adhesive to your cart. I can't tell you for certain because I can't test it out until the sale "goes live".
I'm especially excited that the Designer Tin of Cards kit is included in this promotion. This kit is a fantastic way to build out your stash of cards to have on hand for ready mailing. Alternatively, this kit will make a fantastic gift for a crafty friend or family member this Holiday Season. I'll definitely be purchasing one of them to take advantage of this great deal!
If you do take advantage of this fantastic kit, you should know that the list of additional products in the catalog is incorrect. Stampin' Up! has an extensive editing process for their catalogs, but with something this big and complex, a few errors may occur. The products that you need are: Designer TIn of Cards stamp set (p. 161); Crushed Curry, Cucumber Crush, Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, and Tip Top Taupe Classic Stampin' Pads (p. 169-170); Fast Fuse Adhesive (also part of the promotion – p. 182); Mini Glue Dots (p. 182); and Stampin' Dimensionals (p. 182).
There is another Stampin' Up! promotion that starts on October 1st that runs for all of October, and you can take advantage of both offers until October 5th. I'll share the other promotion in a post tomorrow – they are both great deals, so please take your time to check them out.
