I don’t know about you, but the relentless news about COVID19 is getting me down. I do understand that it is very important that we all are informed so that we can properly do our part to slow down the spread of the virus, but it’s kinda scary, too. Anyhow, I would enjoy receiving a card with some pretty flowers, and I think the same is true for others. There is nothing like a handmade card with pretty flowers to give a person a mental lift. So… even though I’m not sending this, I’m sharing it virtually in the hopes that it will brighten your day.
This was the card that I created to feature Purple Posy for the In Color Club, and I used this sketch as the basis for my design. Due to some insurmountable quality issues, Purple Posy ink is not available. So, I had to make a creation featuring that color, but without the ink. Thankfully there are lots of other options, including Stampin’ Blends, so I was able to pull it off. One interesting thing that I did on this card is the creation of the little shelf that the vase sits on. I used the Classic Label Punch and inserted cardstock so that it was visibly half-way into the punch opening. An instant shelf!
