I love the lyrics in the song entitled “Lean On Me” which was written and sung by Bill Withers. We sing it occasionally at church and I love it every time. The song is a strong reminder of how inter-connected and dependent we are on each other. And it is also a great reminder that it is important to swallow your pride and accept help when you need it. We all have days where we are well situated to offer help, and other days where we dearly need a friend to lean on.

I received this stamp set at the Orlando OnStage event last spring, and I don’t think that I’ve taken a chance to play with it until now. A demonstrator designed this set as part of her recognition for reaching $1 million in sales, and this gal was at the OnStage event to show off this set. She told us about the story behind the images, and it really gives you the feelz. She designed the set in honor of her mother who suffers from Alzheimer disease, and she shared the story with all of us with an open heart. So, if you haven’t checked out the set, I encourage you to give it a look. There are some great images that are perfect for coloring (my new fave thing to do), and some lovely coordinating sentiments.

I designed this card to participate in the current challenge on the Global Design Challenge site. I really like the variety of challenges that they share because it gives you an opportunity to use your brain in designing in different ways.

Edited 9/10: Squeee! I’m super-excited that my card was picked as one of three co-winners for the challenge. What a wonderful way to start my birthday week!
