I designed this card for two reasons. First, I needed to figure out the next card for the birthday card ministry for our church. I try to design cards that a small group can assemble quickly. I typically do the stamping in advance to speed up the process. This time, I think that I’ll do the stamping and assemble the layer with the cupcake image including the sequins so that the glue under the sequins has time to dry before transport. I pulled out the Hello Cupcake set because I definitely wanted to use it at least once for this card ministry – it is cute, and perfect for birthday wishes for any gender.

The second reason for this card is I wanted to participate in this challenge at CAS(E) this Sketch!. I really like the simplicity of this layout, and it made it easy to explore different options for the elements on this card.

There are just two more days to be able to receive my Valentine’s Sampler instructions. Place a non-No Contact order > $50 either today or tomorrow to receive this thank-you gift from me.

For the birthday card ministry I try to use some of my hoard (erm – stash) of retired Designer Series Paper. This time I used some old paper from a past Brights paper stack. In the list of products below you’ll see the current Brights stack because that would work just as well for this card.
