This year I decided to create Easter cards to send to our church staff members. I have sent them Christmas cards for years, and they always receive a ‘just because’ card during Lent, but I decided this year that I wanted to also send an Easter card. This holiday is such a joy with all of the pretty flowers in the Sanctuary, a wonderful breakfast offered by the Youth group, and seeing bright happy faces. This year, I’m feeling sad that we won’t have any of that. We’ll still get to see the flowers during the streamed service, but the rest of it just won’t happen this year. And I imagine that the church staff members are especially sad about this. So… I decided a card was something small that I could do to lift their spirits. And it brightened my day creating a batch of these pretty cards.
I’m really glad that I created this card just in time to participate in this latest challenge from the Global Design Project. It’s been a while since I’ve done a challenge, and I’m glad to dip my toe back in. I can’t wait to see all of the pretty Spring inspired cards in the gallery for the challenge. This is what my spirits need right now! Things are gradually picking up outside, but we still don’t have many flowers up here in northern Vermont, so I’ll get my fix from pictures online.
