The South Burlington stamp club met this evening, and as I was driving home I was listening to the show “q” from the CBC on Vermont Public Radio. One of the segments was about some of the Emmy nominees, in particular the host (Tom Power) talked with Eugene Levy who received a nomination for lead actor in Schitt’s Creek. I loved hearing him recount how he and other members of the cast learned in real time about the various nominations that they received – what a humble and wonderful guy! So… I would love to offer up this card as a wish for all of the nominees. There are some really great shows that received nominations (I’m personally pulling for Chernobyl from HBO – that was an amazing mini series, and it received 19 nominations).

This card was actually one of the cards that the Stamp Club group created. I used this challenge for the color scheme of the card. And happily, the gals in club liked the color scheme, too! I was especially happy to find a pattern of DSP that I own that worked with the colors, too. The nice thing about this card is that the greeting is versatile – it could be for a birthday, retirement, promotion, … you get the idea. Anything that calls for a celebration is a good match for the sentiment on this card.

I dug into the internet archives to find this old sketch that I used as inspiration for my card layout. The focal image is a tad larger on the sketch, but overall I followed the design pretty darned closely. I added some ribbon on the horizontal section, but everything else is pretty much as you see here.
