I am really missing my southern stamping friends these days; today I’m especially missing my friend AnnMarie. This lovely group of ladies welcomed me to their table a few years ago at the OnStage event in Baltimore. I was traveling on my own and they very kindly welcomed me into their sisterhood for the day. Ever since, I have met up with them at several other events and every time has been wonderful! One of my fondest memories from the Orlando event was a few hours that AnnMarie and I enjoyed between segments of the planned day (there was an evening event after the day-long usual programming). We both had organized swap events after the day session ended, so while hanging out we showed each other our swap loot. Then we enjoyed a wonderful dinner at my hotel and had a great time just talking about our families, our hometowns and other non-stamping topics. Oh how I miss getting together with AnnMarie and the rest of the CrazyCrowd (the name they call themselves)!
I created this card to participate in the current Global Design Project challenge. As soon as I saw the inspiration image for this challenge I knew that I wanted to use one of the gold foil panels from the Forever Greenery Suite. I also just received the Dainty Diamonds 3D embossing folder and I used that on the vertical panel along with some splatter stamps from the Forever Fern stamp set. I’m really happy with how the finished card turned out. Sometimes cards come together exactly as you envision (sometimes… not so much). Happily this was one of the former!
