In the quilting world there is a term for those projects that you’ve started, but never quite finished; it is called UFO for UnFinished Object. I have a bunch of quilts at various states of completion, but in my stamping life I have a few, too. This Paper Pumpkin kit came out in October 2017, and I re-discovered it in my not-very-small stack of PaperPumpkin boxes. I was looking for something quick and crafty to work on over the weekend and these kits fit that bill perfectly. When I opened it up, I found inside an acrylic block that I’ve been missing for AGES, and I realized that I had brought the kit to some social crafting event and didn’t get around to working on it. I must have just put the box back in the stack when I got home and then promptly forgot all about it. I’m so glad that I found it again, for so many reasons! I’m happy to have the stamping block back, but especially I’m excited to have a set of these cards to send this Christmas. These cute shaker cards really are going to be fun for the recipients and I can’t wait to get them out to share some Holiday cheer.
True confessions time – do you have UFO projects that are hanging out waiting for your attention? I’ve been spending some time recently on them – both stamping and quilting – and I have to say that the feeling of finishing up one more un-finished project is really quite uplifting. So I encourage you to dust off something that you started, and finish it up. You’ll be so proud of yourself!
On a related, but slightly different topic, Paper Pumpkin subscriptions can be a fantastic gift for a crafter in your life. Below are links that you can use to purchase pre-paid subscriptions of various lengths. It is a great way to get a little crafting time in, and allow a new stamper to find quick success without having to purchase a bunch of supplies. Do you know someone that would enjoy this gift?
