When I first opened the catalog at the OnStage event that I attended in Savannah Georgia in April 2016, this orchid set was the very first thing that caught my eye. I kept getting drawn back to it, and I just had to point it out to a couple of friends that were attending the event with me. And then for some reason, other sets kept making it on my list before this one. I finally purchased it on my last order for that catalog so that I could get it with the bundle pricing (I do love a bargain). I have done some searches online, and the variety of colors for orchids is astounding – and the nice thing about stamps is that you can make your images in any colors available to you. So – I think that you could easily create orchids with colors that you have, and you would likely end up with something that actually occurs in nature. I even saw some images that were lime green and purple!
This was the more detailed card that the South Burlington stamp club group made last week. This card features some carry-over products (the gorgeous orchid stamps and dies) and some new goodies in the new catalog. This card did take us a while to assemble – we water-colored So Saffron and Flirty Flamingo on Shimmery cardstock (it stands up well to water) and had to let it dry before stamping the orchids in Lovely Lipstick. And then there was lots of die-cutting… But all of that hard work is worth it because this card is a stunner (imho).
