I wanted to highlight 2 of the great Sale-A-Bration products in my final post for the sale. Yep, that’s right… today is the last day where you can get these great SAB products for free with a qualifying order. For this card I used two products that are Level 2 options which you can select with an order of $100 (before tax and shipping). I have shared a card previously here that featured the Dandy Designs patterned paper. This paper is great for having soft patterns added to your cards, and many of the papers offer a tone-on-tone pattern for even more softness. This is the first time that I’m sharing something featuring the Beautifully Happy stamp set. This set is absolutely gorgeous, and I definitely encourage you to give it a look.

The Beautifully Happy stamp set has gorgeous line art images and fill-in stamps to color the sections. I found it very easy to line up the images and I was happy with how they turned out. I did use my Stamparatus because I was making a few of these cards, so once I had it lined up it was very easy to get the same results for subsequent pieces. I do want to share something that I did a little different (or at least I think it’s different). I’ve found that line art images are typically stamped with black ink, and I wanted a softer look (sometimes it can be kinda harsh). So for this card I stamped the outline image with Gray Granite ink. You still get the clear outline images but it’s not so stark against the pastel colors that I used for the flowers and leaves. If I was using bolder colors I would definitely use black or dark brown ink to make sure that the outlines aren’t lost. But I’m glad with my experiment here when I’m using pastel colors. What do you think?

I confess that I’m delayed in sharing my card. I first created it when this sketch challenge was active, but then I got sick and I missed the deadline. The sketch looks the dimensions are somewhere between a “normal” card and a slimline; I decided to go with a standard card layout for my creation.
