Our church is worshiping exclusively online, and has been doing this since our governor issued the “Stay Home, Stay Safe” order in the middle of March. This has been an interesting technological journey, starting initially with Facebook Live, and moving to a streaming service to YouTube starting on Easter Sunday. There have definitely been many bumps along the way, and as a member of the Communications Committee I have been a little more involved than most of our congregation. But blessedly, our Associate Pastor and some other volunteers have been doing the real work to pull this together. And I am so impressed with where we are now – I can reliably connect on Sunday morning and watch and enjoy service every week. Every service starts with a segment focused on thankfulness, the Pastor leading service reads some quotes/poetry and shares some sentiments that congregants submitted via text. The shared sentiments discuss gratitude for things big and small – successful surgery, a drive-by graduation celebration, and the beauty of new flowers blooming in the garden. I have many things in my life that I’m thankful for, a wonderful family, a great job, a son embarking on an amazing journey, an joyful church family, the list goes on and on. Today what I’m feeling especially thankful for are the amazing people that I’ve come to know through stamping. I have met people from all over the country, and I have to say that stampers are the most warm and supportive people that I’ve known in my life. So, thank you to all of you that have enriched my life!
This card sketch challenge was the inspiration for my card. Right now I’m focusing on creating cards featuring the new In Colors as samples for my In Color club. I haven’t announced the club yet, but I’m making progress toward that goal. This card is my creation for Bumblebee. I used the DSP as the guide for pulling in additional colors, and I am happy with how cheerful this card is. I really liked this layout, and I likely will use it again in the future.
