I pulled out some retired products to create a whole bunch of these cards for the birthday card ministry at our church. Typically I use current stamps (at least), but I had a vision in my head, and these retired stamps were just the ticket for what I needed. I created 36 of these cards with various color combinations using a sheet of DSP from the retired Brights stack.
I created this card for the challenge, but didn’t get it posted in time to participate while it was active. I like this layout and it seems like it will be very versatile for future creations. In my design I used patterned paper for the horizontal strip, but I can envision using DSP for the background layer and a coordinating color strip for that front section. So many possibilities!
I also wanted to highlight some retired products because I am interested in getting them out to new homes. I’ve decided to try an experiment posting a few for sale here on my site. You can see pictures of the sets for sale here. If you want to buy one or more sets, send me an e-mail and we’ll work out the details. As I sell sets, I will remove them from the site. As I get time, I’ll take some pics of some more sets and get them posted. I don’t want this page to get too overwhelming. And, if there is a retired set that you want and you don’t see, please e-mail me to see if I have it for sale. I would rather help you out than have you spend more on eBay.
