Have you ever wondered about the Soda/Pop line? What you call this beverage is a very regional thing (apparently). Here in Vermont, we are very much in “Soda” territory. I have an aunt and uncle who live in western NY and they are definitely “Pop” people. And then there is a portion of the south, where every carbonated beverage is called “Coke” even if it is root beer. Talk about the influence of a local mega-company! I’m a bit of a word/language geek, so these sorts of things fascinate me.
Anyhoo… I created this card for the South Burlington stamp club meeting at the end of February. It features several products from the Occasions catalog as well as the first Sale-A-Bration flyer. The super cool thing is that the Bottles & Bubbles Framelits also cut out some of the shapes that are printed in the Bubbles & Fizz DSP that is a SAB option. The bright colors on the papers are really cheerful and fun, and they are perfect for any occasion.
I used this sketch as the basis for the design of this card. I used the knot in the ribbon instead of the circle element in the sketch. I wanted the cute bottles to be the focal point on this card, and going with a more subtle element on the bottom right was just the ticket to keep it that way. Inside the card is another stamped bottle that is open with fizzy bubbles coming out the top and the greeting “May your day BUBBLE OVER with happiness.”
I love all of these coordinating products, and this is the last week to get the DSP and ribbon pack because Sale-A-Bration will be ending this Saturday. If you’ve been wanting these items then I encourage you to place your order ASAP so you don’t miss out.
