As the pandemic worsens along with the divisions in our country, I want to take a moment to thank all of the medical workers that are my heroes every single day. Thanks to the public health officials! They aren’t physically in the front lines, but certainly are in the front lines of verbal and online attacks from people that don’t like what they have to say. Thanks to the nurses and doctors! They are risking their health caring for patients in hospitals as well as elder care facilities every day. Thanks to the EMTs like my husband! Every day they put members of the community before themselves to help them on their worst day. Thanks to the Primary Care and Pediatric providers! You are heroes that work so hard to keep us healthy every day with constant pressure to reduce costs and see as many patients as possible. So this card is a virtual thank you to all of our medical heroes – they deserve our thanks each and every day.
I created this card just in the nick of time to participate in this challenge from Just Add Ink. My “pick two” are Flowers and Texture. The flowers are in the background patterned paper and in the vase. The texture comes from the ribbon and the drops in the centers of the flowers.
I used this sketch as the inspiration for my card layout. I’ve been playing with the Bojo Indigo Medley for a few days and I just wasn’t ready to put it down. I added a couple of square diecuts, gems and dimensionals to some Medley elements and this card came together lickety-split. I am very much in love with this Medley, and I can’t wait to share more with you!
