It has been a while since Stampin’ Up! has offered products that are specifically intended for scrapbooking. I remember about a decade ago the company used to have something called Simply Scrappin’ kits which featured patterned paper, coordinating cardstock and sticker sheets. Those went away because the scrapbooking trends shifted to pocket memory keeping when Becky Higgins Project Life became all the rage. Stampin’ Up! still has some Memories & More cards and some pocket pages as vestiges of this trend.
What is old is now new again! Earlier this year Stampin’ Up! and Close to my Heart (CTMH) announced that CTMH was shutting down and Stampin’ Up! was acquiring some of the products from CTMH. Also, the CTMH consultants would be welcomed into the Stampin’ Up! family and supported in their transition – if that’s what they wanted to do. Stampin’ Up! told demonstrators earlier this year that they have wanted to offer more products for traditional scrapbooking. So it was a serendipitous opportunity to work with / help out CTMH with their closure.
That’s a lot of backstory – if you’ve stuck with me this far, here’s the real news. Stampin’ Up! now has several scrapbooking products that are now available. They are designed to coordinate with products from the Sept – Dec mini catalog and Online Exclusives. These products are being treated like other Online Exclusives with one difference – Stampin’ Up! created a brochure that you can look at here. Here are some things to know:
- Check the online store for product availability
- Products may be available for a limited time – there’s no guarantees
- If the online store shows a product is Unavailable, then more inventory is expected soon
- If you don’t find a product in the online store, then it’s gone and won’t be back
- The “Reindeer” products coordinate with the Reindeer Days Suite
- The “Snowy” products coordinate with the Snowy Days Suite
- The “Autumn” products don’t have designed coordination, but could be paired with the Splendid Autumn Suite
- The “Halloween” products coordinate with the Portions & Spells and Playful Ghosts stamps – Online only
