Greenery Birthday

After spending time outside raking earlier in the week, I decided to spend some time inside this weekend crafting – I really hate raking and I needed a break. I’m anticipating that there will be a large number of birthday cards needed for May for the church card ministry, so I wanted to get a start on those. I made a batch of 12 of these cards and I hope that the recipients really like them.

The patterned paper that I used is called Thoughtful Journey which features some gorgeous watercolor designs. This beautiful paper is on the Last Chance list and I encourage you to grab some while it’s still available. The small panel is one of the “B” sides of the paper which all feature a watercolor wash look. It’s so gorgeous to add some color without a lot of distracting pattern if you want something else to be the focal point.

Speaking of focal point, for this card I used some of the Greenery Lane Washi Tape that I purchased a few months ago. This tape is designed to coordinate with the Greenery Lane dies and it is so easy to get some great leafy images. I cut away a section of the tape and adhered it to some Basic White cardstock and then diecut the images with the Greenery Lane dies. It’s an alternative way to get some images that look like they were stamped, but with consistent look and different shades of green. I think this washi tape is super cool!
