What the heck?
Who in the world is wanting to create a snowman card in April?!? Spring has been very slow in arriving this year here in Vermont, and I'm definitely not wanting any more snowmen to appear in my neighborhood. However, I made a goal (dare I say "resolution"?) back in January to create a different holiday card design each month, and add to my stash by at least 5 cards in that design. This snowman card is my next batch of Christmas cards that I'm adding to my stash, and I'm happy to report that I made 9 of them, which is a lovely addition.
My inspiration for this month came from a sketch challenge from Always Playing with Paper. Each Monday they post a new Christmas card challenge on the blog, and I've enjoyed occasionally participating in their challenges. I'm really appreciating using their challenges to help me meet my year-long goal. I'm looking forward to perhaps using another inspiration from their blog for my May creations.
I used the following materials to make this card:
- Stamps: Stylin' Snowfolk
- Cardstock: Garden Green, Baja Breeze, Real Red, Whisper White
- Ink: Garden Green, Basic Black, Early Espresso, Real Red, Baja Breeze, Pumpkin Pie
- Accessories: Candy Cane Christmas DSP (retired), 1 1/4" Circle punch, 1 3/8" Circle punch, Northern Flurry embossing folder, Stampin' Dimensionals
I know you'll be glad to see the end of the real life snowmen, but I'm glad you created and shared this fun guy with us at Merry Monday this week. Hope to see you again soon!
