Featuring the Autumn Accents die

I have to confess that I was stumped when I saw the Autumn Accents Bigz die in the gojuss Holiday Mini catalog. There are two stamp sets that coordinate with it: Wonderfall and Tweet Leaves.  I couldn't imagine how in the world to use the stamped images with the die cuts without lots of hassle and frustration.  I do love the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, but it just seemed like it was a bit much for this use.  It would be so easy to do if they had made the die as one of the Framelit dies.  But… a Bigz die is so much more versatile in the materials that it can cut – imagine felt leaves, or wood die cuts, or flashing.  I do love the power of the Bigz dies!  So… how to line up the stamped images?

Get perfect stamp placement on a Bigz die image

Thank heavens for my fellow stamping sisters that share so much!  It is very easy to set up the die so you can see just where to place your stamped image.  I experimented with the Tweet Leaves stamp because I don't have the Wonderfall stamp set (so I can't promise results are the same).  All you have to do is place a piece of copy paper so it overlays the die and extends beyond the edges.  Tape two opposite sides down to the die and then run it through the Big Shot.  Remove the die cut pieces, but leave the negative in place.  You now have windows to line up your images and get perfect die cuts!  Isn't that brilliant?!?
