DSP pretty boxes I created these pretty boxes for the multi-demonstrator stamp-a-stack that we held last Sunday (10/9). Each of the demonstrators created a set of 10 boxes so that every participant could pick one as part of their goodie collection for the day. It was great fun to see the different ideas that we each created, and I think that the lovely ladies that came to the event really enjoyed the boxes that we prepared.

I made these boxes using the Gift Bag Punch Board, the Simply Scored tool and three different packs of retired papers. The wooden snowflakes that you see on the front came from my stash that I purchased last year from a "big box craft store". They would look just as lovely with other embellishments – punched snowflakes, the cute bow, a big button – you get the idea. I wanted to help use up some of my supply of embellishments that I've collected over the years. I was also glad to be able to use some of the pretty papers that I've (*ahem*) hoarded over the years. Two of the designs are from last year, and the third was from ages ago. I'm so happy that they have come out of the pack and found a new life on a pretty 3D project. And I'm especially happy that the ladies at the event seemed to like these boxes because they were snatched up pretty quickly.

Below I've listed the current DSP's that you could use for this project along with the tools that you need. I won't list the cardstock, but you can use any 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock that coordinates with the DSP that you have. I can't list the cutting/scoring dimensions because I purchased a tutorial for this box on-line and I won't give away another demo's hard work. If you want to purchase the tutorial you can use this link to get to her blog and purchase it. I did have to make a couple of measurement corrections for the box, but I was very pleased with the outcome, so it was worth a little extra work. If you decide to make some of these, I would love to see a picture of your pretty creations.

Remember – now is a perfect time to load up on the "regular" Designer Series Paper packs because when you buy 3, you get 1 free. The first two packs that I've listed below are included in the sale. You could also make up some of these boxes for any occasion – they would make a great favor box for a birthday party using the Festive Birthday DSP, or you could get ahead of the game and make some pretty floral boxes for Mother's Day using the Blooms & Bliss DSP. This box design is very versatile, and the patterned paper that you use will make it fit your occasion.
