Suitable for anyone on your list It's not too early to start

I am down here in San Antonio enjoying a few days of wonderful sight-seeing before the Leadership conference begins (for me) on Wednesday evening. It was a real treat to leave blustery, cold Vermont and walk around the River Walk on Saturday with only my long sleeve shirt and no jacket.  I did have other clothes on, of course! :D If I get a chance, I will put together an MDS page or two to share with some of the pictures that I’ve snapped of the sights. In the meantime, I will continue to share the card front swaps that I created for the conference.

This is a card front that I created for “general swapping” which means that I’ll be trading this design with other folks on an ad-hoc basis and not in a pre-organized swap. I also used this design for a workshop that I had last week. Why not get as much use as I can out of the design, right? Some of the design elements are created using some great new products in the Occasions Mini catalog. These are the stamped heart design, the cut-out of that image and the little embossed hearts.  This beautiful new mini catalog has lots of new things that I love! You’ll definitely see a bunch of creations during this mini period using these goodies because I love them so much.

You need the following materials to make this card:

  • Stamps: Take It to Heart (Occasions Mini), Grateful Greetings
  • Cardstock: Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Old Olive, Basic Gray
  • Ink: Melon Mambo, Basic Gray
  • Accessories: Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Pinking Hearts Border punch, Hearts Framelit (Occasions Mini), Fashionable Hearts Embosslits die (Occasions Mini)

I picked the color scheme for this card from the awesome challenges at ColourQ.  Check out the original challenge from October 6, 2009:
