Share the warmth But this mug is so delightful

Winter has finally hit here in Vermont as of yesterday afternoon. We have had a record-setting warm season so far here, and frankly I've been enjoying it. I don't especially like the snow and cold, which is crazy since I've lived here all my life. But, this is where my family and my lovely hubby's family are, so we've stayed to be near them. Therefore, I've been happy with the boon of warm weather that we've had to date. And, the savings in our heating bill has been a nice benefit as well. That all came to an end yesterday. Winter arrived with a vengeance! My husband's cell phone kept alerting us all day long to NOAA weather advisories – initially the the service warned of severe wind chill for last night. Then mid-afternoon it was warning us of very bad road conditions due to the snowfall and the rapidly dropping temperatures. The wind was certainly howling here yesterday! I was supposed to be having a stamp club meeting last evening, but I conferred with the hostess and we decided it would be prudent to hold off for a week. It was nice to stay home and enjoy the coziness while Winter was mixing it up outside.

When it's all chilly outside, there's nothing quite like a nice cup of hot something-or-other. This mug is a lovely vessel for a nice warm beverage. I decorated a mug I purchased at Walmart with snowflakes cut from a Decor Elements sheet. Combined with a nice tea sampler, this mug would make a lovely gift for someone who likes a hot drink on a cold day.

Materials used to make this mug:
