I needed to make a batch of birthday cards for the card ministry, so I pulled out 3 sheets of this paper from a recent order and cut it up to make a batch of 27 cards. I love the bright, cheerful colors and I hope the recipients of the cards like them, too! The sentiment is actually from another stamp company, so don’t take time trying to identify it in the Stampin’ Up!™ catalog. I wanted something on the larger side that would fit in a circle and I re-discovered this one when I was digging through my stash.

I think the real star of this card is the patterned paper. If you don’t recognize this paper, it’s likely because it hasn’t been available for that long. This patterned paper was the Product of the Month (POM) in February. I just barely checked and the paper is still available, so if you love it then you need to get it real soon. The POM options are available while supplies last, so there is no guarantee of how long you’ll be able to get it.

I’ve explained POM before in this post. If you prefer to watch a video to learn the basics of POM, Stampin’ Up! has shared one. You can watch it here:

I used a recent sketch from Freshly Made Sketches as the inspiration for my card design. The different sections in this card design are absolutely perfect for featuring different, coordinating designs of patterned paper. I added thin black strips at the meeting points of the papers to help create clear divisions between the different designs. I love this sketch and I think I’ll likely use it again in the future; perhaps even for the card ministry.

I used the following Stampin’ Up! products for my cards:
