I was feeling a little out of sorts in the post-Christmas blues, and my crafting mojo had left me. I wanted to work on a class for Valentine’s Day, but I just wasn’t feeling it. I was messaging with a demonstrator friend who was in a similar mind-set and she suggested making a sampler. She has done a bunch of them, and she really likes creating them. In the midst of our chat I checked my stash of craft products that I’ve acquired over the years and found a 12×12″ frame that I bought from a local craft store years ago. With her nudge and finding this gem, I was inspired to get going. I’ll share some various pieces over the coming days.
This first square that I’m sharing is super simple. I die cut and X and an O from Lovely Lipstick cardstock and glued them down on this pretty DSP that has been matted. Nothing fancy here – my friend suggested keeping pieces simple-ish so it doesn’t get overwhelming.
This rectangle is in contrast to the previous image because it is the most involved section in my sampler. That being said, it still isn’t crazy difficult, but it isn’t as simple as the previous square. I did have a lot of fun pulling out this balloon set and coordinating dies, and combining with some new products to create this piece. I like how it came together to add to the Valentine’s theme for my sampler.
Instead of offering a class for this sampler, I’m trying out something different this month. I will e-mail you the instructions for the sampler when you place a qualifying order this month. And even better, this is the same order size to earn a free Sale-A-Bration offering. There is one fine-print detail – you cannot have your order flagged as “No Contact” because I will not get any information that would allow me to send you the tutorial. Happy shopping!
