sudsol_swap_sweetnessThis is the second card that I made for the demonstrator swap that I recently participated in. I LOVE participating in swaps because it gives me a purpose, a deadline and sometimes a theme that I'm creating for. This one was all about new stamp sets from the 2015-2016 catalog. The stamp set that I used for this one was actually one of the sets that Stampin' Up! made available to demonstrators early during the "sneak peek" period; it is called "You're So Sweet". I'm having a lot of fun with this set, and I knew that I had to get it when it came in a bundle with the mini treat bag thinlet dies. I hadn't snagged a set up when they came out in the Occasions catalog, and I was very excited to buy them in a bundle.

I must confess that I'm feeling a little blue today… several of my demonstrator pals are out in Salt Lake City enjoying the last ever "as we know it" Stampin' Up! Convention. I hope that all my demo pals are having a blast!!! I have watched a portion of it that Stampin' Up! shared via video feed for all of us that couldn't make the trek out west to be there in person. You can just tell that they are having a great time! Iknow that some of the people that received this swap card are there enjoying some quality "demo time". Perhaps my card even went with one of them! Wouldn't that be a nice consolation?

I know that I've shared before that I love poring over card sketches for inspiration. I used this oldie (but a goodie) sketch from the CAS team as the basis for my card. I was originally going with something different, but I had to change my plans when I discovered that the spiral border punch was retired. Oh well – adapt and move on, right? You may recognize the color scheme from my card, too. It is actually many (if not all) of the colors that are in the Bohemian DSP pack. Isn't that just a gorgeous and rich combination of colors?
