This is the simpler creation that I designed for the South Burlington stamp club group. After toiling so hard on those pretty flowers, this card came together lickety-split. I was inspired in this design by a Stampin’ Up! friend to the north. Her name is Jackie, and she is truly amazing – you can check out her blog entry here.

This project also gave the group an opportunity to try out the new style of dies that were introduced with the new annual catalog. The dies are no longer made by Sizzix because Stampin’ Up! is working directly with another manufacturer. Because of this change, the design of the dies is changed a little bit; the cutting edge is a little inset from the opening in the middle of the die. I think you need to look a little more closely when lining up this style of die, but I didn’t struggle too much to get a good cut of my stamped images.
