I had a lot of fun creating this card. I had a couple of inspiration reasons that I’ll get to later, but it was just plain nice to spend some time with some crafty supplies. I confess that I have been distracted with some other things taking my spare time lately (quilting, reading, British TV) and I’ve not spent as much time stamping as a result. These were all great activities for the pandemic times, but I’m very excited about the ability to start stamping with people again. And I have created a couple of items with an eye toward holding a class like the sampler featuring the Friends Are Like Seashells bundle. I dearly love stamping and it always feels good to make something special that will brighten someone’s day when they receive it.

I’m so glad that the stamps and dies in the Art Gallery bundle carried over into the “big” catalog. Also, since the January – June catalog is still active for a few more days you are able to get the bundle pricing. And since today is the Free Shipping promotion from Stampin’ Up! it is a perfect time to snag that bundle and get it with free shipping. The price just meets the minimum price for free shipping so you could shop quickly and save.

This current color challenge was the inspiration for my card. I really love these colors together and it’s a great way to show off one of the new In Colors. In fact, I’ve decided that this will be the card that I give out to In Color Club members when they receive the Fresh Freesia assortment of products. I really love the addition of this color to our palette and it definitely helps soften the blow of losing Purple Posy. And the best part… we have INK this time! I loved Purple Posy, but that was a real drag not being able to have the ink. Stay tuned for info about the In Color Club – I’ll be getting it out very soon.

I used this past sketch as the layout inspiration for my card. I knew that I wanted to use the large flower and stem from the Art Gallery stamps so I needed a large-ish vertical panel as a focal point to show it off. I love going to this site for card layout inspiration and I can almost always find something that works well with the stamps that I want to use.
