I’ve been on a roll this week, and I decided to make another batch of 10 cards for the September card ministry. I’ve got a pretty good supply now, so I think I’ll hold off before I make any more. 😁 This time I wanted to go back to my original goal with the card ministry to create cards to use some of the retired patterned paper in my stash. I used the last bit of the 2018-20 In Color patterned paper that I had in my collection to make up these cards. Those were such bright, cheery colors and they are perfect for a birthday card. And the really cool thing is that one of those colors was brought back this Spring in the color refresh. That gorgeous Blueberry Bushel is back, and I’m so glad to use it!
It’s been a while since I looked at the sketch challenges on the My Favorite Things blog. I was checking it out the other day looking for some inspiration and this recent challenge leapt out at me. It seemed perfect for using up some patterned paper. I’ve never participated in one of their challenges because I haven’t purchased their products. I assume that they want submissions that are featuring their stamps so I don’t attempt it. But… their sketches stay up, and they have some fun designs that I like.
