I wanted a masculine birthday card to send to a male friend who is a beer lover. The Brewed for You stamp set is just the thing when you want to create a card featured some brewed goodness. There’s three different glasses included with coordinating stamps to add liquid to them. There’s even one that I’ve seen frequently used for hard cider – my personal favorite alcoholic libation. The coordinating dies are also a fantastic partner for these great images. For this card I used them for the hops on the Wild Wheat horizontal section. I lightly applied Wild Wheat ink to the diecuts to allow them to pop a little bit more. That was actually the longest part of creating this card, all of the rest of it went together very quickly. I hope this inspires you to check out the Brewed for You stamps and coordinating dies.
This current challenge from the Paper Players was part of my inspiration for my card. I did need a masculine card, and this challenge was just the thing that I needed to nudge me to get one put together. I appreciate the variety of challenges that this blog offers, and I’m glad to participate again (it’s been a while).
The patterned paper that I used for this card is one of the patterns in the Inked Botanicals patterned paper. There are some fantastic patterns in this paper pack and I encourage you to check it out. And… that paper is one of the several DSP’s that are on sale this month. If you click on the link above you will see all of the papers that are 15% off this month. It’s a great opportunity to build a stash of some colorful papers! When you place an order < $150, please add Host code SJHDZG7H when you check out. Happy shopping!!!

This is so cool….at first I thought the hops were artichokes, LOL! I don’t know why I’ve hesitated to get this set…I have lots of beer drinkers in my family and it’s perfect for a masculine card! Thanks for sharing this with us at the Paper Players this week!
Thanks so much LeAnne! I agree that this is a great set, and here in craft beer country it’s especially useful. 🙂
What a perfect card for your friend, Andrea! Great color choices! I love the plaid paper. The hops look absolutely amazing. What a super technique! Thank you for playing with The Paper Players this week!
Thanks so much Ann – your kind words brightened my day!
Hello, Andrea! (I did a double-take when I saw your name – I have a friend residing in the Los Angeles area named Andre Sharp.) This is a great card. I especially loved your use of the hop dies as a background band behind your beer mug. Thank you for playing with us this week on Ann’s masculine card challenge.
Thanks so much Fran! There are a few Andrea Sharps out there in the wild – I occasionally get emails meant for one of my name doppelgangers.
