To share some birthday love
This is a card front that I CASE'd from another demonstrator named Tammy Fite. I copied her design, but changed the colors because I used the new Twitterpated DSP that is in the new Occasions Mini catalog. I was able to indulge my frugal nature by stamping and cutting out the heart image for my Tuesday blog post card and used the negative for this card. I cut the DSP into 1/2" strips, and attached them to the back side of the heart to create the look that you see here. I made several of these to swap at the Regional conference that Stampin' Up! is holding right after the Leadership conference.
I also used this card for a workshop that I held last week, and the gals suggested adding a little Riding Hood Red heart from the Fashionable Hearts Embosslits die near the stamped greeting. You don't see that here because I grabbed this picture before we came up with that addition. I do like how it turned out, but you'll have to use your imagination.
To create this card you will need the following materials:
- Stamps: On Your Birthday
- Cardstock: Pear Pizzazz, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White
- Ink: Baja Breeze
- Accessories (all from the Occasions Mini catalog): Hearts Framelit die, Baja Breeze 3/8" Pleated Satin ribbon, Twitterpated DSP, Fashionable Hearts Embosslits die
I love this card Andrea and will definitely case it for a class…your customers had a great idea with the riding hood red heart, nice when they take your card and run with it!I can relate to your frugality 🙂
