This is the other card that I mass produced for the October birthday celebrants in our church. I recently purchased the Autumn Leaves bundle and I was excited to use it for some Fall-themed cards. There isn’t a birthday sentiment in the stamp set, so I used a greeting from a different set for this card. This birthday greeting is perfect for any season, and it will partner with any other stamps or dies if daisies aren’t what you want to use. I also pulled out some retired patterned paper for the lower section of this card. I’m pretty sure that the paper I used was a Sale-A-Bration offering a few years ago. I really like the paper in that pack, and I was glad to use some of it on this card. Doesn’t it have a lovely fall feel?
It turns out that I over-produced cards this time around. I made 16 of this card and 18 of the card that I shared in my previous post. I wanted to have a good head-start on the cards needed in case it was a high number this month, since I had no idea how many would be needed. Well… it turns out that this batch of 16 is plenty, so I’ll be saving the other batch of cards for the November birthdays. Creating cards that have a seasonal feel (especially Fall) which has a limited time-frame where they make sense is a bit of a gamble. I think that I’ll hold off on making any cards for November, or make a few that are not season-specific. If I do make more general birthday cards, then if I already have enough Fall cards for November, I can use them for December birthdays. It’s actually good that I have cards already stored up for November because that will allow me to focus on Thanksgiving and/or Christmas cards. I really need to get cracking on those!
