I had fun creating a batch of these cards over the weekend so that I could get them in the mail to some family and friends. I hope that you have a truly wonderful Thanksgiving  celebration with family and friends.

To make these cards I broke out my fancy stamp positioner tool that Steve purchased for me a couple of years ago. I wanted to revisit using it so that I could be prepared for the new Stamparatus that will be coming from Stampin’ Up! early-ish next year. I’m looking forward to getting it and want to be able to speak to the advantages of it. These tools are really great for creating several of the same design – perfect for card creation for holiday celebrations. And Stampin’ Up! has added some very nice features beyond the basics.

I used this sketch as my inspiration for my design. In fact, I was soooo close to submitting it for the challenge while it was still active. Alas, I had so many other things that I needed to get done in preparation for Thanksgiving that I wasn’t able to get it posted here in time.

You may be wondering about the light green dot embellishments that you see on the card. You’re right – we don’t carry something exactly like that. I used a trick that I learned from other demonstrators. I used the Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blends marker to color one of each size of the White Perfect Accents embellishments I think the Light Old Olive marker coordinates perfectly with the Pear Pizzazz paper and ink. I can see myself using loads of the embellishments since you can alter the color to match the project at hand. Huzzah!
