Blessed with Roses

I finally got my act together to bust out some of the new goodies that I purchased from the new Annual catalog. When I saw some samples using this stamp set at OnStage, I just knew that I had to buy it. I really enjoyed stamping with these images and I’m sure I’ll use this set a bunch more. This is also my first time playing with the new In Color called Rococo Rose. The colors this year are great, and I’m sure I’ll use them a ton!

This creation was the first time that I used the new style of dies for cutting out the flower and leaves. The opening in the dies are tighter to the stamped image, so there is a noticeable change. However, I didn’t have any problem getting a good cut with a balanced border around the stamped image.

I used the current challenge on this site as the basis for my card design. I spent a little time looking around at current challenges for inspiration and as soon as I saw this layout I knew I had found what I was looking for.
