snowfall thinlits

I pulled out a bunch of retired products to create this square card. I just wanted to take an opportunity to play for a bit and experiment with different textures for this beautiful multi-layer snowflake. There are so many different snowflakes in the gorgeous Snowfall Thinlit dies, and I wanted to create one of the numerous possible stacks. I started with the biggest snowflake on retired Real Red glimmer paper, and used cardstock for the next two layers, and then on the top I added a pink rhinestone from a past Paper Pumpkin kit. And the DSP on the background is long ago retired, but I couldn’t resist the cute pattern. One tip… Stampin’ Up! recommends that you DO NOT use the Sizzix dies with the Glimmer papers because they could dull the edges. So, please do as I say – not as I do (in this instance). I decided that I was willing to risk a single use on this pretty paper.

Today is the very last day to be able to get the gorgeous products in the Snowflake Showcase. Stampin’ Up! designed these amazing products that coordinate wonderfully for your year-round stamping and die-cutting pleasure. But… the catch is that the products were only available (while supplies last) for the month of November. The White Velvet sheets sold out on November 9th, and we were all sad. But there are some other wonderful products that are still available. As the guys are getting ready to sharpen their razors at the end of No-Shave November, it is also time to submit your order if you’ve been wanting any of these pretties.
