I had some creative time Saturday afternoon as the sky was clouding up and getting ready to rain – again. I decided to pull out and ink up the Sketched Butterflies stamp set for the first time. As soon as I saw this bundle in the catalog it was quickly put on my wish list for the Annual Catalog.
I remember a Stampin’ Up! presentation several years ago where they said that flower stamp sets are always their #1 seller closely followed by butterflies. Butterflies are great stamps for lots of occasions, so I can understand why they are so popular. I’m so glad that I finally purchased this stamp set, and I’m sure that I will use it a bunch. If you like butterflies, I encourage you to check it out. Please use host code HX3GUU6R when you shop online, and your order is $150.
This color challenge was the inspiration for my card. What I love about this color combination is that it isn’t a classic fall theme which is what I would expect at this time. Don’t get me wrong – I absolutely love fall colors. But it’s great to have an opportunity to have a break from the seasonal theme.
I did use a retired ribbon for my card – I love the texture that the corduroy ribbon adds. It seemed like just the right touch for the colors and vibe on my creation.
