Crayon Resist boxPaper boxing, that is!

My stamp club gals made this project the other evening, and they had a lot of fun with it!  I was teaching them the crayon resist technique, which we used on the front panel.  We stamped images from the Simply Said stamp set, highlighted spots with white crayon, and then sponged ink over the images.  Sadly, that stamp set is now retired, but you could make the project with any decoration on the front panel.  You could even use patterned paper for a quick and easy project.  The following supplies were used for the project:

  • Ink:  Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie & Daffodil Delight
  • Cardstock:  Real Red (12″ x 12″), Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight & Glossy White
  • Punches:  Scallop Trim, Blossom Bouquet triple layer
  • Sizzix Die:  Fun Flowers
  • Accessories:  Daffodil Delight satin ribbon, 5/16″ Neutrals Brads

The top was decorated with two layers from the Fun Flowers die, with the smallest flower from the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch in the center.  The final touch on the flower topping was the 5/16″ white brad, which was perfectly sized for the center the flower.  Please leave me a comment to let me know what you think!
