I’m kinda chuffed at how this card turned out! If you look through the Stampin’ Up! catalog you won’t see the sentiment that you see here. It’s part of a digital download that I’ll describe later. I’m starting to get a little stir-crazy and really missing seeing friends and family in-person. I think that I may be sending this card to my sister… I saw her recently from a distance to hand off a book that I thought she would enjoy. And it was so hard to not be able to give her a hug! This sentiment fits my feeling perfectly.
I’m also glad that I was able to incorporate a number of products that are retiring when the current catalog is replaced with a brandy-new one in early June. If you’ve been considering the Support Ribbon dies, the silver thread, or the Basic Sequins, now is the time to place your order to be sure that you get them while you can.
Stampin’ Up! has put together a digital download with some fun, timely sentiments that are perfect for your crafting fun. There are so many fun images and they included a lovely index at the front indicating colors and coordinating dies by page. The company is selling this download differently; you have to order online from a separate link (you can click on the image above), rather than from the traditional on-line store. They are doing this so that 100% of the proceeds will go to the targeted agencies. By default, when you purchase the download 50% of the price will be donated to the World Health Organization’s COVID-Solidarity Response Fund and the remaining 50% will be donated to the United Way Worldwide’s COVID-19 Community Response and Recovery Fund. You can change the donation so that 100% will go to either of them if you want. I’m so proud to be associated with this great company that is using their expertise (in a very creative way) to help support critical needs at this time.
I really liked this sketch challenge, and I was very happy to be able to participate. I really like the splatter image on the sketch, and it is a great opportunity to explore different options to create an interesting background for the card. I decided to go with die-cuts in the same color as the background and accent them with the same color of ink. I love the texture that this technique gives to the finished card.
