At the Essex stamp club gathering last week I devised two projects that made use of the Stamparatus (aka the Stampasaurus 😉 ). This was the second, simpler project that we made. There wasn’t any fancy tricks with the tool for this card, but I did have the stamps all set up in advance on two plates, and the gals were able to easily make the center panel with the elements lining up nicely. Also, they could appreciate the ability to stamp a second time if an image isn’t perfect on the first impression – it happens to all of us.
I absolutely love the gingham paper in the Occasions catalog, and the coordinating Sale-A-Bration ribbon (that you can get for free) is just divine. I decided to show off these great products when I designed this project because I wanted all of you to see how lovely they are. I especially love that they include Lemon Lime Twist – a color that I’ve had a lot of fun using. I am going to be very sad when this color retires in May. Berry Burst will also go away at the same time, so if you’re in love with either of them, stock up now while you can. Oh… and that gorgeous Berry Burst ribbon is so soft and decadent! It too will be done and gone in May.
I used this recent sketch as the basis for my card design. I didn’t create this card in time to participate in the challenge, but I thought that the layout would be a good way to show off the great products in the Amazing Life bundle. In fact, I liked the layout so much that I replicated the above card with retired DSP and ribbons for the birthday card ministry for our church. I’ve prepped up 32 of these in two different color schemes for February birthday wishes. Now I just need to schedule time with the group that assembles them so that we have them all ready to go.
