Baltimore_Lunch_SwapWayyyy back in November I attended a Stampin' Up! event for demonstrators in Baltimore called OnStage Local. There were several other locations in North America and the South Pacific, and the main location (called OnStage Live) was in Brussels. This event is a replacement for the long-loved Convention that happened every year in Salt Lake City. The "Local" events make it possible for people in far-flung locales to get a taste for the fun in a single day. I went solo and met several wonderful ladies from the Virginia/North Carolina area who graciously let me hang out with them for the day. That is what is so amazing about Stampin' Up! events and demonstrators, if you go to one on your own, you won't be left that way for long. smiley

Anyhow, I created this card for an organized swap that was held over the lunch break. I had made another one very like it using retired papers for the lovely gals that participated in my In Color Club. The layout was so pleasing to me that I decided to create another card using current product for the lunch time swap. The only stipulation for the swap was to use products from the main catalog, include at least one embellishment and be a full card (not a card front). I hope that the other participants enjoyed this card; I know that I love the various cards that I received.

I used the sketch to the right as the inspiration for my card design. The sketches on this site are geared to a Clean and Simple (CAS) look, but when you see the gorgeous creations from the design team they are a clean look, but very sophisticated in the different elements that they bring together. I hope to participate in more of their challenges when they are still active as part of my New Years resolution. Even if I don't make a deadline, the sketches are still available for inspiration like this one.
