I recently shared a batch of quick-ish Christmas cards that I made for the gift bag that I donated to the Silent Auction at our church craft fair. I decided to copy this card because I really liked the layout and I was happy to recreate it for a birthday card. Copying a previous card is called “CASEing”; the acronym stands for Copy and Stamp Everything. The card design is pretty quick and easy, and it allows me to use some of my patterned paper. This time I used some current paper instead of digging into my stash. The cheerful colors in these papers are great for birthday cards that you can use at any time of the year. I especially try to use colors like these for the December birthdays because I suspect that their special day is typically overshadowed by Christmas.

The stamp set that I used for this greeting is part of the Year to Celebrate stamp set. This set is one of the products that’s on the mini catalog retirement list, AND it’s one of the products that is discounted. You can save 40% on this stamp set, which is a fantastic bargain! I haven’t inked up the party blower stamps yet, but I will likely use the set again later this month for another batch of cards for the church. I’m not sure how many I need for December, but I’ve made a good head start.
