with a lovely card
I made this card ages ago in a workshop for a friend. It has been sitting on my desk waiting patiently for its' very own blog post, and today is the day. This card uses two colors from the Subtles family that are retiring at the end of the catalog period, so I wanted to get it posted before that happened. I'm happy that Stampin' Up! is substituting in Pear Pizzazz for Certainly Celery, but I'm feeling a bit verklempt over the loss of Baja Breeze. I know that I'll be fine once I have the new colors, but allow me a moment or two to *snif* over the soon to be dearly departed colors.
On a sort-of side note, some of the retiring colors are on back order, so demand has proven to be quite high. If you want to replenish any colors, please do so quickly because when Stampin Up! runs out, they'll be gone, even if it is before the end of the current catalog time. The only item that is officially out is the Not Quite Navy 8 1/2 x 11" cardstock, but the situation is dynamic and quite prone to change. I just don't want you to regret not getting your favorite color before it becomes unavailable; that would be very sad indeed.
I used the following supplies to make this card:
- Stamps: Delicate Doilies, Loving Thoughts
- Cardstock: Baja Breeze, Sahara Sand, Certainly Celery, Whisper White
- Ink: Baja Breeze, Certainly Celery, Sahara Sand, Night of Navy
- Accessories: Subtles button, Lucky Limeade bakers twine
