with a cheerful card
With her double victories at Wimbledon, I think Serena deserves a celebratory card! Sure, she has the beautiful trophies, but there's something special about a hand made card that makes an occasion really special (IMHO).
I created this card for my Open House that I held at the end of June. I created the flowers with a new stamp set called Bright Blossoms that you can see in the new catalog. I created this card as a mash-up of two different cards that were featured in recent issues of Stampin' Success which is a magazine that Stampin' Up! provides to demonstrators. The layout of the card was from one card, and the color combination was from another card they featured. I stepped this card up a bit with a Pumpkin Pie button with a white bakers twine bow over the pumpkin stamped blossom. I think this card is just too stinkin' cute! And these blossoms seem very similar in style to images by Mary Engelbreit. I love her style, which is probably why I'm drawn to this stamp set.
I used the following supplies to create this card:
- Stamps: Bright Blossoms, Friendly Phrases
- Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Elegant Eggplant, Real Red, Pacific Point, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Whisper White
- Ink: Elegant Eggplant, Real Red, Pacific Point, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green
- Accessories: White bakers' twine, Brights buttons, Postage Stamp punch, 1 3/8" Square punch
