gold_valentineI will confess that this card is a CASE (copy and stamp entirely) of a card that another demonstrator shared on her blog. I was looking for ideas using the new vellum papers that are in the Occasions mini catalog, and I came across her beautiful card in my internet wanderings. This card is really quite easy to create, and I was able to use lots of goodies from the newest catalog.

At first I thought that I would give this card to my darling hubby, but I've since decided to give him a more elaborate creation (shared the other day). This card will be placed into my card samples so people can check it out in person.

The vellum with the hearts is like more typical vellum because the hearts are so small. The patterns with the big circles and the diagonal lines can have adhesive applied behind the metallic image to adhere it to layers beneath and nobody will see the adhesive. That isn't true with the hearts. So, for this card, I used the washi tape to adhere the vellum to a piece of white cardstock underneath. It's pretty, and you get to enjoy the vellum without unsightly splotches of adhesive.

I used the following materials to make this card:

  • Stamps: Perfect Pennants
  • Cardstock: Naturals White, Whisper White
  • Ink: Versamark
  • Accessories: Gold Fancy Foil Designer Vellum, Gold Foil Sheets, Watercolor Wonder Washi Tape, Hearts Framelits, Gold embossing powder, Labels Card Thinlet (for the inside), Stampin' Dimensionals
