I recently shared a batch of cards that I created from an older Paper Pumpkin kit. Those cards were exactly as designed in the kit – super simple and quick with some wow! For this card I used a portion of the November 2019 kit and used it as an element on this card. This kit is a set of tags, and I love how this particular tag provides the focal element on this card. Isn’t the lasercut cardinal beautiful?!? Last year I made a set of cards using one of the other tags designs, and now I still have 1/2 of the kit to use on additional projects. I already have an idea for a card using a third tag; the creative juices are flowing!
This card was designed with this sketch challenge as the basis for the layout. Instead of an oval, I used a tag from a prior Paper Pumpkin kit as the focal element. I was so excited to see a slimline card layout for the challenge because I’ve been itching to try creating another one. It is a lot of fun to create a card with a different look, and I’m excited to create even more slimline cards!
Isn’t this challenge fun?!? Christmas cards are one of my all-time favorite projects in my crafting year, and I’m happy to have inspiration to create some more. Seriously, I need to spend a little less time creating cards and get cracking on getting them in the mail! But… I’m having so much fun!
Darling, Andrea! Love the slimline card design. That s one of my favorite Paper Pumpkin kits and I just love how you featured it. Thanks so much for joining us this week over at The Paper Players!
