Yesterday was the annual Holiday Stamp-A-Stack event in St. Albans. This is the third year that I have participated in the event, and it was such a blast! This picture is the card that I created. I only did one card this year because my wonderful pal Heather created and managed the card for my second table. The ladies who attended had a great time; one of the gals told me that this event is her kick-off in preparations for the holiday season.
This card design started more complicated with a gate fold and interlocking die cuts. I decided to keep the general design but make it much simpler to put together. The ladies at the event yesterday seemed to really like it, and they appreciated having a simpler card to make. There is some glitter on this card, but it doesn't really show up in the picture. I drew lines with a 2-way glue pen from the center of the star part-way out to the points. The glitter adds a little sumthin' sumthin' to the design (I think).
I used this old color challenge for this card design. The challenge came out in July (two years ago), and there are mostly non-Christmas cards shared in the challenge page. But, I thought it could be really fun to pull out for my card this year. I like the aged look of the background color, and I think that the black sentiment on the front pops against the Pear Pizzazz star. What do you think?
