Today is the day!!! The new Holiday catalog is now available to you, and I’m sure that you’re going to love it as much as I do!

I was totally in love with the very first suite that you find when you leaf through the catalog. It is called Quilted Christmas, and I purchased all of the items in the suite during the demonstrator pre-order period. I expect that I will get loads of use out of those products in the suite, and not just for Christmas cards. I didn’t use the stamps from that suite for this card here, but all of the other pieces coordinate well and it is easy to use a different stamp for a fun greeting (like I did here). I created this card for a demonstrator-only swap, and I signed up to use the Merry Little Christmas stamp set. I just couldn’t pass up a chance to use the fun, coordinating products from the Quilted Christmas suite.

I used the sketch that you see here as the starting point for my card. The grid layout lends itself to creating a quilted look on your card, and I was so happy to find this sketch as a launching point for my swap creation. You may have noticed, but I wanted to call your attention to something extra that I did on this card. After I glued down the patterened papers to the Early Espresso layer to create the grid layout, I ran that through the Quilt Top embossing folder to add some texture and make it seem more quilt-like. It’s an easy extra to do to add a little sumthin’ sumthin’ to your card.
