Sorry about the blu-ish tint on the photo for this card; I really didn't take this card in the dark. I clearly need to spend some more time working on my photography skills! This card features a few things that are on the new retiring list. The patterned paper (which almost always retires every year) and the stamp set for the greeting are going away. The tools that I used to create the circles are going to stick around, and the future is unclear for the material used for a few of the circles. You can't tell from the picture, but when you can see and touch the card in real life you can tell that some of the circles are actually from the Birthday Bash Washi sheets and not from DSP. Those sheets are in the Occasions catalog, so we know for sure that they are around until the beginning of June. Who knows after that point!
I mentioned in passing that the retiring list is out. It actually was released earlier this week and I have been a bit of a slacker in getting the word out. The first day or so of the retirement list created pandemonium on the Stampin' Up! web site. People stayed up into the wee hours to get some deals and then hit the web site like a ton of bricks. Hopefully, we are now past the initial rush and the web site will be up to the demands of more normal use. You can view the available retired products with this link. There are actually a couple of great things about the retirement list this year: 1) stamps are guaranteed to be available until May 26th and 2) there are a lot of items (including stamps) that are discounted up to 50% off. Also, since My Digital Studio and all associated products are going away as of May 31st, all of those download and print products are discounted 30%. I'm not sure why, but the on-line store doesn't make it clear that the prices are discounted like in the other areas, but I have confirmed that the prices for MDS products shown is in fact the discounted price.
Because many of the products that you may want are "as supplies last" I strongly encourage you to place your order for retiring products directly on-line to reduce the risk of missing out on something that you want. Happy shopping!!!
