This was the easy card that we made at the Essex stamp club meeting last week. Those gals whipped through the creation of this easy card – they are becoming experts at stamping! One of the club members used the reverse side of the DSP which is mostly Night of Navy, and I really liked how her card turned out. I was a little nervous that the strip going across with the corduroy ribbon would just seem to fade into that paper, but it didn’t turn out to be an issue. We did have a bit of a glitch where the punch for the front sentiment stopped punching all the way through, but when I leaned on it, it started to behave again.
I used this sketch as the basis for my card. I have used this sketch before, but it is so versatile that it is easy to use it over and over to create new designs. I actually have another card design in mind for this sketch that I think I could be using for a batch of birthday cards later this month.
Several of the products that I used on this card are retiring at the end of the month, so if you’re loving them, I encourage you to purchase them before they are gone for good. The Tailored Tag punch is carrying forward, but the DSP, corduroy ribbon, and Chocolate Chip products will be gone soon.
