This bundle was the very first thing that totally grabbed me when I perused the new Annual catalog. The stamp set was co-designed by Connie Stewart and a Stampin’ Up! artist/designer. This was to commemorate Connie reaching $1M in sales; one of the perks when reaching that major milestone. If you’ve ever checked out her blog, the images are so totally “on-brand” with her retro theme. I adore the coordinating stamps and dies, and I look forward to creating a bunch more with them!

You may recognize the look of the “Coffee” diecut on my card. I was inspired by this sample on page 90 of the Stampin’ Up! catalog. It is a simple thing to layer different colored diecuts slightly offset to create this look of layering and fun colors. I just couldn’t wait to try it out on one of my own creations! I have layered multiple diecuts before to create thickness and dimension, but I haven’t offset them – until now.

My colors for my card were inspired by this color combination that is one of the suggestions from Stampin’ Up! for Cinnamon Cider. I love how these warm colors come together for my coffee inspired card. Some Subtles DSP adds just the right retro look, along with some Linen Thread that I colored with the Cinnamon Cider light Stampin’ Blends.

I was inspired to create my card by the current challenge on the Just Add Ink blog. I have loved Fancy Folds for a really long time, so I was happy to dust off the pattern for the Center Step card for my design. A Fancy Fold card always seems like it is extra-special, even for a homemade card. You aren’t going to find one of these in the card aisle of the grocery store! I am so glad that this challenge came up so that I could show off this super-cute stamp set with a fun layout. I’m so happy with how this card turned out; I hope that you like it, too!
