This was the slightly more involved card that the South Burlington stamp club crew made last week. This was not a hard card to make, but there are several layers which means that it takes a bit more time to assemble. I really love the combination of the colors that are featured in the Painted Harvest DSP, and I incorporated the oranges in the additional elements on this card. This is also the first project that I’ve created using the mini sequin trim that came out in the big catalog this summer. I love that stuff, and you will definitely see more of it in future projects!
I continue to be amazed by the versatility of the Colorful Seasons bundle, and I wanted to take an opportunity to show these ladies how awesome it is. For this card I used the larger leaf image and outline die for the front, and I stamped the leaf on the inside of the card (you’ll have to believe me).
I drew on this card sketch for the inspiration for this card. While surfing around online I saw a card with the label element similar to what I did here. I love pulling together elements that I discover online to create something new. I was really happy to be able to pull out these gorgeous designer series paper again for the vertical elements. Those colors really help make this card pop! The stamp club gals created somewhat different looks by switching up the side of the patterned paper that they used on the panels.
