I absolutely love the More Than Autumn bundle, and it was loads of fun to use it for a cheerful Christmas card. That’s the thing about a to-go cup… they are used all year. This cup is colored in Christmassy colors with marshmallows on the top and a cute straw that looks like peppermint. I have to say, this card in particular makes me very happy this year. Do you know how sometimes you can create something and every time you look at it you think “I really like how that one turned out”? That’s this card for me. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of cards that I create (or at least start to create) where I decide it looks like 💩. So when I really like how it turns out, that’s a real treat.

The greeting stamp that I used on the front is from the October 2024 Paper Pumpkin kit. The stamps are called “Nests of Christmas”, and they are fantastic! I used another greeting from the set for the inside of the card, too. I do enjoy using Paper Pumpkin stamps on other projects because I’m getting even more use out of the kit. If you have past Paper Pumpkin stamps, don’t forget to check them out if you’re looking for something to use on a card. It is really mentally rewarding to “shop your stash” and find something that’s just right.

I looked at past sketches on the Freshly Made Sketches site and found this sketch from October 2022. I absolutely love that they keep an archive of all of the past sketches so that we can keep going back for inspiration. That’s the wonderful thing about sketches – they never expire.

The circle element on this layout seemed like a perfect focal point layer for the coffee cup, and the dark panel behind it seemed perfect for some patterned paper. I decided to have DSP for the main layer too because the Take a Bow paper is AWESOME and you get lots of each pattern.
